Frequently Asked Questions
What is concierge physical therapy? How does it work?
Concierge physical therapy is delivered to you at your convenience, at the location of your choice, and is dedicated to your personal goals.
The best part of concierge physical therapy is that you and the therapist are in charge of your care. Insurance will not dictate how you are treated, what treatments you are eligible for, or how long you can pursue physical therapy treatment.
Do I need a referral from my doctor?
No! Most patients contact and begin therapy directly. Your medical team and specialists can be a part of your care, but it is not necessary to see a doctor before starting treatment.
Who do you treat?
I love working with motivated patients who are ready to reclaim their life. This can be teenage athletes, moms, dads, weekend warriors, elite athletes, grandparents.... If you are at all unsure if this is a good fit, book a consult call to discuss your case!
*At this time, youth and teenage athletes are able to be seen for orthopedic concerns, but all pelvic health patients must be over 18*
Do I need equipment at home?
My goal is to do ensure that your therapy integrates seamlessly into your life. This is the only way consistent progress can be made. I will bring a treatment table and supplies to every treatment. If you have exercise equipment at home, we will certainly use it!
If you are seeking purely personal training, we will primarily use equipment you have regularly available to you.
What areas do you work in?
I work primarily on the east side of LA county. This can include Hollywood, Silverlake/all east LA neighborhoods, Glendale, Pasadena, Arcadia, and all suburban towns to the eastern edge of LA county. Areas and cities outside of eastern LA and suburbs can potentially still work, but may have more limited availability. Reach out to inquire about other locations.
Therapy & Process
What can I expect during my first evaluation?
Your initial evaluation is a comprehensive 75-90 minute session where we dive deep into your history, goals, and current concerns. We perform a thorough movement and mechanics assessment and, if applicable, a specialized pelvic floor evaluation to create your unique roadmap.
Why choose concierge care?
Concierge care allows for personalized, one-on-one sessions without the use of aides/assistants, and without concern for busy clinic schedules. You receive treatment in the comfort of your own home (or location of choice), focused entirely on your specific body, recovery goals, and lifestyle needs.
How many sessions will I need?
Frequency and duration of care vary based on your specific goals and progress. Many clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum, then transition to bi-weekly or monthly wellness check-ins as their strength and resilience improve. I always say "I can take you as far as you want to go". If your symptoms have resolved, but you want to make yourself bullet-proof for the future, I'm here for it.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a private-pay practice, meaning we do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to focus entirely on your recovery without the limitations often imposed by insurance providers. We can provide a superbill for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
How do I pay for sessions?
Payment is due at the time of service. We accept Zelle/Venmo, check, cash, all major credit cards, HSA, and FSA cards.
We do offer options for individual sessions or packages of visits as well.
Cancellation policy?
We understand that life happens. We require 24-hour notice for all cancellations or reschedules. This allows us to serve other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. Late cancellations may incur a fee.
